The Saatchi and Saatchi Building

Location: Berkley Square, London

The building stands on the south side of Berkley Square in the West End of London. The Building has a large atrium at its centre. Although the space is square the corners were cut away to allow light to enter what would otherwise have been a basement level. The planting consisted of four large clumps of bamboo. In the four lower areas there are four water features.

The bamboo clumps were specifically planted into hand made wooden containers in Florida so that they could be dropped straight into place immediately before the opening of the building. To help the plants settle in a high level misting system was installed and run for the for first year.
